Violin "In The White"

I have been working on this violin off and on for about 2 1/2 years. Since September of this year I have finished carving out the insides of the top and bottom plates attached them to the ribs, carved the scroll and neck, and installed the neck onto the violin body. I am now at the point of varnishing the violin.

Hi, Corliss,
Looks like time has been gentle with you. Turning 60 has found me getting sentimental--and curious. Glad I found an old friend who looks like he's taking care of himself and is still a believer. (YAY!)
sentimentally,
Jan Carroll

Dear Jan,

Please refresh my memory. I'm struggling to remember . . . Wichita Falls? Tom Harlan, my best friend?

Thanks for taking the time to make contact.

It is all coming back . . .

I look at Your Face

When I want to know what you're thinking
When I want to know how you feel
Well you might as well be talking right out loud
Cause when I see your face, there's nothing you conceal
I look at your face
I see your face it tells me everything
Your eyes the way their glistening
The beauty of the dimples in your cheek
The way you slightly turn your head
right after what I might have said
is telling me the secrets of your mind. . . . .and the song goes on

I hope all is well with you and yours. Would love to hear what you've been up to.

Wow. I haven't seen that song since I was 18! I'd be glad to update you, with pictures, etc. on email. I've been resistant to Facebook.
If you don't feel comfortable with that, that's fine (just look at my face--it's still an open book).

Jan

Would you send your email address? I'm getting a noreply address from your emails at this point. Then I can send you pics and info as well. Better than on this forum.

Hello I came across the lyrics mentioned above while listening to the radio but I haven't heard it again. Who is the artist and what is the title?

It would mean the world to me

When I want to know what you're thinking
When I want to know how you feel
Well you might as well be talking right out loud
Cause when I see your face, there's nothing you conceal
I look at your face
I see your face it tells me everything
Your eyes the way their glistening
The beauty of the dimples in your cheek
The way you slightly turn your head
right after what I might have said
is telling me the secrets of your mind

As you can tell, I don't check comments routinely. Just saw your post. The song is called I Look At Your Face and was released in 1972 on my Album called "Corliss" on the Natural Resources label. You can find the album online if you wish to buy it. I'm glad to like the lyrics. It was a song about a young lady I knew many years ago.
